Census Bureau: 81.1% of people in Allegheny County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 1,246,116 citizens living in Allegheny County in 2021, 81.1% were old enough to vote, equating to 1,010,566 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 486,131 were male, constituting 48.1%, and 524,435 were female, making up 51.9%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Allegheny County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 79.1%.
