Bethel Park School District issued the following announcement.
The Bethel Park Board of School Directors will hold a Special Meeting for General Purposes on Tuesday, August 11 at 7 PM. Because of the COVID-19 restrictions on the number of individuals that can safely be in a room together, the meeting will be held virtually.
You Can Participate In The Meeting

- The public is invited to watch the meetings as they unfold via Facebook Live at: https://www.facebook.com/bethel.park.52. PLEASE NOTE: This is a different Facebook page than the BPSD's official Facebook page. This page has been created specifically for sharing School Board Meetings via Facebook Live. The following day, the meeting will be shared on the District's "official" Facebook page.
- Public comments will be accepted during both public comments sections of the meeting. There are two ways to participate in the public comments sections of the meeting. One--Individuals can email their comments to publiccomments@bphawks.org and they will be read at the appropriate time during the meeting. Please include your full name and address in the email, or we will not be able to share them. The title of your email should include “August 11 Public Comments” and the topic you plan to address, so that it can be directed properly. Please be reminded that public comments at the beginning of each meeting are reserved for agenda items only. Public comments about non-agenda as well as agenda items can be shared at the end of the meetings. Two--In-person public comments will be permitted based upon the following guidelines. Commenters who wish to speak in person are asked to complete a Google form by noon on Monday, August 10, 2020 to sign up. The link can be accessed by clicking here. Once the form is submitted, commenters will be contacted and asked to arrive at the Community Room at their designated time, so that the District can ensure compliance with COVID-19 mitigation measures. Commenters will have two minutes to share their remarks. Once you have shared your comments, you must leave the premises.
The above measures provide for the safety of all Bethel Park community members, while ensuring that essential business is still conducted.
