La Roche University issued the following announcement.
U.S. News & World Report has again named La Roche University a Best University in the North, a Top Performer on Social Mobility and a School with the Most International Students.
Schools listed as Best Regional Universities offer a full range of undergraduate programs, as well as an array of master’s programs.
“Our continued recognition as a Best University in the North reflects La Roche’s commitment to academic excellence and student success,” Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Howard Ishiyama, Ph.D., said. “At La Roche we foster a learning environment that provides our diverse student body with the tools to succeed, and to see the world beyond their own experiences.”
La Roche also ranks 31st among Regional Universities in the North for 2020 Top Performers on Social Mobility. U.S. News & World Report determines social mobility by two factors. The first factor is a measurement of a university’s success at supporting low-income students to achieve equity with students from families with stronger financial backgrounds. Graduation rates of students who received federal Pell grants is another consideration.
Additionally, La Roche ranks third for Regional Universities in the North with the Most International Students. The University is 15 percent international, with 36 countries represented on campus. La Roche accepts international students into both undergraduate and graduate programs, and into its ESL program for non-native English speakers.
