CHATHAM UNIVERSITY: What Chatham is Grateful for this Thanksgiving

Luncheonnn

Chatham University issued the following announcement.

2020 has been a year of sacrifices and challenges, many of which our community here at ChathamU have taken in stride. The resilience, compassion, and adaptability of our community has us nearing the end of the year feeling very blessed. In such unprecedented times, it’s important that we focus on things that spark hope and gratitude in our hearts. Join us as we reflect on a few of the things we’re particularly grateful for this holiday season. (please note, all pictures of people were taken pre-COVID!)

Our beautiful campus

Our campus is stunning year-round, but offers a  particularly breathtaking view this time of year. We are thankful for the time we have spent taking in the sights, relaxing, socializing, and studying under our beautiful arboretum and in our historical buildings.

Our essential workers

Chatham is beyond thankful for the housekeepers, dining services workers, shuttle drivers, safety officers and maintenance team that help keep our campus going. They are our essential workers and we couldn’t thank them enough for all they do here at ChathamU.

Our city

We are thankful for the city that we call our home. Pittsburgh offers us employment, entertainment, stunning views and a wonderful community of Yinzers.

Our faculty and staff

Our faculty and staff have experienced a semester unlike any other, and they have handled it with grace. Whether they be working hard to re-format classes, hosting special virtual events to support our students, or just being the wonderful people they are, we are beyond grateful for our faculty and staff.

Our alumni

We cannot thank our alumni enough for all they do for us. They are our mentors, our donors, our life-long friends, and a vital part of the Chatham community.

Our students

Last but certainly not least, are our students. Our students have been beyond resilient this past year, adjusting to new class formats, new protocols, and a new college lifestyle. Our students and their successes are what inspire us to do what we do here at ChathamU and we are extra thankful for them this holiday season.
