La Roche University issued the following announcement.
La Roche University will host a drive-thru college fair on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
High school students and their families will meet representatives from La Roche and other member schools of the Pittsburgh Council on Higher Education (PCHE), including Community College of Allegheny County and the following universities: Robert Morris, Point Park, Carlow and Duquesne. Guests are invited to drive through the fair and stop to ask questions along the route.
La Roche’s Vice President for Enrollment Management Chip Weisgerber, Ph.D., said, “This event presents a unique in-person opportunity for students to explore Pittsburgh-area colleges and universities. Representatives will be available to answer questions about each school’s campus and academic programs.”
The event will include an optional tour of the La Roche campus, guided by an admissions counselor. Guests also can take a self-guided tour using QR codes displayed across campus.
The college fair will be held in accordance with La Roche’s COVID-19 protocols, which include social distancing, temperature screenings for attending representatives, and face coverings in both indoor and outdoor settings.
If the event is canceled due to inclement weather, the make-up date is Monday, Dec. 7 from 3 to 6 p.m.
