Auxiliary Bishop William Waltersheid will lead a Mass and Procession for the Lord of Miracles in Spanish, October 16 at 1 p.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, of St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish, 1810 Belasco Ave, Pittsburgh (Beechview), The Lord of Miracles celebration in Lima, Peru, is one of the largest annual religious gatherings worldwide. At its center is an image of Jesus painted by an African slave around 1651 and installed in a church that was among the few buildings untouched by an earthquake that leveled the city four years later. Many miracles have been attributed to Jesus acting through this image. Sponsored by the Latino Ministry Office of the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
